About Timer

This is a simple online timer with two modes. In Countdown mode you enter hours, minutes and seconds, press Apply to set the time, then Start. The display counts down to zero and plays a short beep when it finishes. It begins at 5 minutes, and you can enter any length, so 90 minutes shows as 01:30:00. In Stopwatch mode the same big display counts up from zero until you pause or reset it.

A fullscreen button turns the page into a large clock that is readable from across a room, and its controls fade out after a few seconds of inactivity. Pausing and starting each play a short beep, and a bell button lets you test the sound before you rely on it.

Why this runs on your device

The privacy stake is small: a timer handles no personal data. Running in the page means it starts instantly, needs no account and sends nothing, and that is all there is to say.

How to use Timer
  1. Choose Countdown or Stopwatch.
  2. For a countdown, enter hours, minutes and seconds and press Apply.
  3. Press Start. Use Pause or Reset as you need.
  4. Use the fullscreen button for a large display.
Limitations and trade-offs
  • The display is driven by the browser's animation frames, which browsers pause in background tabs. When you return, the time catches up correctly, but the finishing beep sounds then, not at the exact moment time ran out. Keep the tab visible if the alarm matters.
  • The alarm is one short beep. There is no choice of sound, no repeat, no notification and no vibration.
  • State is not saved. Reloading or closing the page resets the time, and there is only one timer at a time.
  • The display shows hours, minutes and seconds. There are no lap or split times; the separate stopwatch tool has those.
  • Browsers can block sound until you have interacted with the page. Pressing Start counts as interaction, and the bell button lets you check your volume first.
